non capitalist thrift store & cultural reclamation

We will purchase a duplex or a triplex over North and convert the first floor and basement into House of Culture, while retaining some of the space for artist housing.

The thrift store will be need and trade based, where folks can shop without money.  People can put into the time bank that BodyPrayers is creating, including artistic tasks around the design of the shop.

Cultural reclamation will continue to take place in the Voice of Culture manner, and extending into clothing, accessories, artifacts and instruments.  We will make every attempt to restore cultural items to the folks they truly belong to.

We will have boutique, vintage, handcrafted items and other art for sale in the traditional sense as long as the funds go directly back to the originators of said items.  House of Culture will not be charging a percentage.  Folks can put into the the BodyPrayers Reclamation of Time Bank (in development)
